Statement as of 07:28 AM EST 2008 azaroa ren 21 an
... Snow will taper quickly through the mid morning hours...
A burst of light snow will continue across southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina early this morning... before tapering off quickly from northwest to southeast between 8 and 10 am. Only a coating to less than a half inch of slushy accumulation is expected... mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces as pavement temperatures remain above freezing. Most roadways will remain just wet... however... a few slick spots will be possible over normally less traveled roadways.
Motorists are urged to slow down and allow for extra time to reach their destination.
